Baseball and longevity

So I whipped up a quick video for the Museum's new web site that accompanies the "Baseball as America" exhibition.

For as long as I can remember, there's been a graffito on the bridge near work that says "Bill Lee for Mayor" right under the sign admonishing people "Do Not Deface This Wall". I love the contrast, and it never fails to make me smile, such is my regard for the Spaceman. In this strange, post-World Series Champs world, it comforts me to have a tangible link to the bad old days, when you had to make your joy at being a Red Sox fan. Bill Lee was a lifesaver when I was a kid, always good for a win and some comic relief. There hasn't been another one like him since. His "Little Red (Sox) Book" is a great read. Long Live the Spaceman!
